IFL science is pretty weak on the science though, as usual. Back then, there were 3 habitable planets as Venus was also in the Goldilocks zone. As with Mars, Venus didn't have the magnetic barrier to protect itself from solar activity, only it's atmosphere turned into a living hell of C02. Scientists think Venus had a collision like the one Earth had forming the moon. But it's impact severely stopped or even reversed Venus's rotation, effectively disabling it's magnetic belts. It was believed to be an Earth twin of another water world before then. Now it's so hot that lead vaporizes, forms clouds, and rains. Yes, it literally rains lead on venus. Mars on the other hand simply lost its atmosphere to the cosmos. All of this shows exactly how special the Earth is for supporting life.
There could have been life on Mars!

Wrong answer conehead! They permitted one too many coal fired power plants and the CO2 emissions doomed them. Thankfully, our "leadership" is wise enough to put a stop to that here less we end up another Venus.awesome guy wrote:
