Anyone think a murder conviction is possible?
Cop shoots partner in stomach. Then cop shoots detainee pinned to the ground. Then the other cop (the one that was shot by his partner) shoots detainee pinned to the ground several times in the back. Cops continue to pin man to the ground until he is dead. Authorities originally said the cop was shot by the detainee.

I've been casually following this story. I think negligent manslaughter at best.

Is that what you think is warranted? Or what you think they could get a conviction? Or both?USN_Hokie wrote:I've been casually following this story. I think negligent manslaughter at best.
The three shots directly into the back is pretty damn bad.

Sh!t... that's f*ckin' LA. They'll be acquitted.
I don't know why they bother even charging anybody with a crime out there!

I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican... if you refuse to consider alternatives to the two parties, you support the Status Quo and you are a major part of the problem.

Depends...was the perp handcuffed when the cop put 4 rounds in his back? If so, that's murder IMO. If the perp did have a gun and they can argue they were still fighting, I bet the cops walk.
