If you assume there was a Big Bang about 14 billion years ago and assume the Universe has been expanding at the speed of light (faster than that in the earliest moments actually) then the Universe could be a sphere of 29-30 billion light years in diameter. At 500 million light years across, the Lainakea Supercluster would be about 6.5 x 10²⁵ cubic light years (-ish). The volume of the Universe would be roughly 1.4 x 10³¹ light years, so there could be as many as 215,000 superclusters the size of Lainakea in the whole of our Universe. Now THAT is astounding. (Assuming my maths are right — I don't typically deal with numbers and formulae like this).
I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican... if you refuse to consider alternatives to the two parties, you support the Status Quo and you are a major part of the problem.
