Goodness, is there something wrong with Obama's hand (similar to Bob Dole's injury)? That doesn't look normal. (Not a political issue - it looks injured or something.)

Re: Say Che-ese
That was weird. My only guess is that he thought anything else (Raul holding a clenched fist, etc.) would look worse, optics wise.BigDave wrote:Goodness, is there something wrong with Obama's hand (similar to Bob Dole's injury)? Re: Say Che-ese
No, I don't think that was calculated - I doubt he expected Castro to grab his forearm and so I doubt that there was a political calculation.USN_Hokie wrote:That was weird. (Note: I'm not saying it's anything bad - just that it seems like there is a condition/injury from the way it went limp - maybe arthritis or carpal tunnel or something. This is not a political issue any more than it is a political issue that Hillary has a thyroid condition and takes medicine for it.)

You should educate yourself and listen to Reagan's speech on freedom that he gave that day - a year before the Berlin wall fell:Florida Hokie wrote:It's like he isn't even a true American:

Re: Say Che-ese
No I'm not saying it was calculated either, beyond Obama thinking "this could look really bad on C-SPAN" as Castro grabbed his hand.BigDave wrote:No, I don't think that was calculated - I doubt he expected Castro to grab his forearm and so I doubt that there was a political calculation.USN_Hokie wrote:That was weird. I hear they have free and plentiful access to colon blow juice in Cuba (It's called the drinking water). You should consider moving there.ip_law-hokie wrote:

No sillier than anyone trying to make something of the picture of Obama when there are ACTUAL things to concern oneself with that are of consequence.USN_Hokie wrote:You should educate yourself and listen to Reagan's speech on freedom that he gave that day - a year before the Berlin wall fell:Florida Hokie wrote:It's like he isn't even a true American:

Re: Say Che-ese
I'm actually AOK with opening up Cuba to American trade and baseball talent.
I personally think it's silly that one of our closest neighbors is also the only country that we openly embargo...we do business as usual with some of the biggest dregs on this planet. This isn't the boogeyman Cuba from when I was younger this is the toothless beggar Cuba whose sponsors have flitted away.
What I didn't like was Castro berating our POTUS and giving him a lecture...then our Spineless in Chief sitting there listening to it and apologizing.
Phuque Castro. Here's the deal Raul the only lectures going on here is ours...we don't need you but you need us badly. Don't like it Well just get your sorry ass back in your '56 Ford Fairlane and drive it off Pico Turquino jag off.

So I take it that you support the same, tired, counterproductive, approach we've taken for how many years?USN_Hokie wrote:I hear they have free and plentiful access to colon blow juice in Cuba (It's called the drinking water). You should consider moving there.ip_law-hokie wrote:

I think this is a highlight of the Obama presidency. I hope Hillary takes the same approach.
