Trump! In this Republican chaos, Trump looks...

Post by houtexhokie »

....like and acts like a rich little boy playing Monopoly ....and decides he can win IF he can buy the entire board....That can't work...

For the first time, HT thinks Trump's inevitability is past.

Thank goodness rational Republicans are coming together to stop the arrogant little Kid Trump.

It is sad that many good Republicans ... Rubio, Bush, Christie, Carson and others became victims of the Trump cyclone.
But in the end, they will be the survivors politically and Trump will go the way of Joe McCarthy, politically....but don't worry, Trump still has many rich boy toys to play with.....after all this entire political process, for him, was just another game.

But he has found out he couldn't buy the Board.

I agree that it's an opportunity lost - the country is ready for a Pub in the WH given the choices from the Dems, and supposing the Pubs maintained Senate and House, they would have been gifted quite a bit of power for at least the next two years.

Alas, if Trump is nominated, not only are the Pubs' WH chances possibly hit, but possibly so are those of keeping the Senate, with Dems and moderate Pubs ganging up to stop Trump. If Cruz is nominated, the WH chances possibly take a hit, but the risk of losing the Senate is reduced, possibly near 0.

You really believe the country is ready for a Pub? I predicted in 08 that the Dems had the WH locked up for at least 16 years. There's no way the Pubs will overcome the W years. No way. I stand by that too. In fact, Obama's presidency has been even more succesful than I could have ever imagined. The nation is simply much more liberal now. A real Socialist like Sanders is destroying the Pub nominees, especially Trump. This Trump thing, which is the Pubs own fault for caving to the angry white Tea Party crowd, might actually destroy the GOP for good. The general public will not take them seriously. They can't win a national election and they won't be able to at any point in the near future.
