Op Ed: The quest to prove collusion is crumbling

Post by USN_Hokie »

Democrats are all-in on Russia collusion. When the narrative crumbles - and, possibly, we find out it was the democrats using Russian-financed propaganda - democrats are going to get taken to the woodshed in the midterms. Unless, that is, RINOs don't back the President's agenda before the midterms.

Not sure I agree on the closing paragraph. Mueller is on a witch hunt to dig up any pretext - however innocuous - for removing Trump should Dems regain power. He needs to be handcuffed to investigate Russian interference and nothing more. If Sessions won't do that, he should be moved to Homeland Security to focus on immigration. Put Ted Cruz in his place and then nominate Cruz as Ginsburg/Kennedy replacement (muhahaha... ;))

I don't think it will matter much, swabbie.

If the collusion thing dries up (it's pretty parched now) the socialists and the media will find something else. Tax returns, parking tickets, a 50 year old bullying incident in a schoolyard...

And if nothing works, if trump is unscathed after years of fruitless investigation two things in my opinion will be the topics of discussion:

1. All the scalps that the socialists took from the administration, the general, Rinse Pubis, comey, somebody's little brother, sub cabinet secretaries who left the administration. The socialists will crow and the media will pretend it's honest that the socialists saved the republic by forcing trump to come clean.

2. We will discuss all the socialist corruption in the obama white house, the clinton foundation, in debbie was-a-man's DNC. But no one else will. The feckless Rs will not push this. They will say it is for the good of the nation not to drag congress and the previous president through the mud. My guess is that 99.99% of the sleaze in DC in the past eight years has been obama and his pals. But with the 0.01% of R involvement, the republican "leadership" will strike a deal to call it even and bury the story.

And the beat goes on.

(Love the "was-a-man" name.)

Good points, you're probably right. Their delusion knows no bounds.

Wish I could say I made that up, but I heard it a couple years ago from a caller on a morning talk show on the radio one morning.

I'd like to think that the electorate is savvy enough to hold Democrats accountable for this false phony narrative that they have been pushing the last 8 months wasting untold amounts of time and tax-payer money. But my fear is the simple people (that vote Democrat) that just watch fake news outlets like CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, etc will just pay attention to whatever the next "scandal" that these fake news networks can dream up.

I saw several stories this week about how bad the week was for Trump. I didn't see many stories on how bad the week was for those that have been screaming about Russian collusion or how bad it was for Wazzerman Schlutz. So no matter what the news is of the day, they will find the one thing that looks bad for Trump and blaze that across their chyron, while at the same time deep six anything that makes Trump look good or Democrats look bad. Is the SoS.

Donald Trump is a stupid man's idea of a smart man, a poor man's idea of a rich man, and a weak man's idea of a strong man.

Really dude? Even the worst picture of Sarah is better than the best picture of DWS. Sarah is overweight. DWS's outer appearance is a reflection of her dark, black soul.

Here I clicked on this thread thinking you had a good argument possibly. Silly me.

Sarah could lose some weight. DWS has no recourse. Not even the best photoshoppers in the world could make her attractive, and her bottom ramen haircut is a self inflicted error which shows poor judgment.

Hoof, are you suggesting that she is not attractive? Why does that matter?

I thought you guys were above that petty sort of thing. Focussing on looks.

Have you sunk to the gutter level with conservatives?

Seems hippo, hypo, hippopontamous, hypochondriac....hypocritical, that's it. You know when someone gets their feelings hurt by something they saw or heard and proclaims the commentary to be inappropriate or hurtful or hate speech.

And then they do the same thing. Like you just did.

Liberals...

With their Cap’n and Chief Intelligence Officer having deserted them, River, Ham and Joe valiantly continue their whataboutismistic last stand of the DJT apology tour.

I call it the patent attorney accent. Does yours leak out when you've been drinking? I knew another self-hating country girl whose southern accent only came out when she was talking to her parents, or after 3 beers. Incidentally, she was a Hokie who went to law school too.
