I think 2017 or maybe 2018 is the year people wake up to the AGW scam for what it is, a gigantic and well funded effort to transfer wealth from the corporations to the government.

With the first six months of 2017 in the books, average global surface temperatures so far this year are 0.94°C above the 1950–1980 average, according to NASA. That makes 2017 the second-hottest first six calendar months on record, behind only 2016.
That’s remarkable because 2017 hasn’t had the warming influence of an El Niño event. El Niños bring warm ocean water to the surface, temporarily causing average global surface temperatures to rise. 2016 – including the first six months of the year – was influenced by one of the strongest El Niño events on record.

I'd caveat and say it's a wealth transfer from rich nations to poor nations, with the socialists taking control of most of the money. It's partially a way for capitalist nations to fund socialist glory, also a means for Al Gore and the like to inject themselves as middlemen and get a cut, like the mafia operates shipping docks. My point is it's a larger scam than you've described and agree that the people are waking up to that as 0 of their dire predictions have come true.

Try and keep up. They got there by lowering the temperatures in the 50s and 80s.

I have been following this story for years, about the gigantic snake fossils found that led scientist to believe the earth must have been a lot hotter previously.ip_law-hokie wrote:Got it.Bay_area_Hokie wrote:I think 2017 or maybe 2018 is the year people wake up to the AGW scam for what it is, a gigantic and well funded effort to transfer wealth from the corporations to the government.

The size of the snake immediately raised questions about how it got to be that big, and what it needed to survive. The Cerrejón team concluded in 2009 that Titanoboa had to have lived in a climate with a mean ambient temperature between 86 and 93 degrees Fahrenheit, substantially higher than the hottest average for today’s tropical forests, which is 82 degrees.
Over the years, the criticism from AGQ buffoons has entered the writings.....
I think climate changes IP. We had the coldest winter in SF this past winter, since moving there in 1990.

Yep. Weather =/= climate of course, but there's so much snow in the Sierras this year that parts of the Pacific Crest Trail / John Muir Trail were impassable as of a week or two ago. Some people are still turning around. There's more snow than in any recent year.Bay_area_Hokie wrote: I think climate changes IP. Don't you know? Climate change (not global warming; or global cooling from yesteryear) means more snow, less snow, more rain, less rain, higher temperatures, greater temperature swings between high and low, etc. In sum, it means whatever the loons want it to mean.USN_Hokie wrote:Yep.
