Pelosi urges Trump to reassure dreamers and he does

He tweets no action will be taken against them during the 6 month extension. He's already said he'll revisit the situation if Congress doesn't act.

On CNN, Pelosi answered a reporter's question by saying she'd talked to the President, and "Boom! There was a tweet."

Trump calls her Nancy. There's also Trump's friend, Chuck. The honorable liberal senator from NY.

Well, there's a lot here that's hard to understand, or at least hard to fit in with what's gone before.

That a guy that's made his life on making deals made another deal? There's nothing new here to people not consumed with Trump hatred.

Other than the kind of deal agreed to was counter to his own party leaders wanted, was what the Dems wanted, and was the kind of deal The Speaker had just previously said was ridiculous and disgraceful. But aside from that, it's not noteworthy at all.

Why should agreeing to what Trump's opponents (the Dems) wanted bother people who hate or oppose Trump? The Dems and their supporters are cheering this. It's Bannon, the Freedom Caucus and the alt-right generally who are mad. Freedom Caucus met with Ryan this morning and were very unhappy with the deal. Breitbart blasted it. Does that mean the Freedom Caucus and Bannon are, as you put it, 'consumed with Trump hatred?'

He just pushed this off to where it should have been done in the first place, not by executive fiat like Obeezy did. But the Congress is cowardly......so this will end up back on his plate.

His "party leaders", ineffectual schmucks that they are, have not supported him in a single thing he has tried to do relative to his campaign promises. They have fought him every step of the way, all the way down the line. So I expect he isn't going to play their game anymore. he's going to do what he wants to do and screw them.

He wanted FEMA funding for relief to Texas ASAP and this is what it took to do that. That he had to extend the debt ceiling 3 months instead of 12 or 18 months is immaterial. It was going to get extended regardless.

The same with DACA. He promised to do away with it. He did. Now he's given the republicans (and the democrats if they want to get on board) an opportunity to come together and codify those aspects of DACA that they feel are important -- how it should have occurred from the beginning. If they don't, in 6 months he's going to sign an EO addressing it the way he wants to. Again, screw the republicans that continue to fight him.

That's what Sessions said in the announcement, so nothing new here.
