The pledge is a bit much.

Yeah, while you could argue the National Anthem doesn't need to be played as often as it is, especially before every single sporting event, the pledge of allegiance every single day for school kids has always seemed a bit silly to me for a country built on freedom, such as America.
I didn't think schools started the day with the Pledge anymore.
They do it at my son's school. Not everyday, but pretty regularly.
I know, Cali, who would have thunk it.

That is good. Because if you don't believe in the ritual you don't believe in America. Gotdammit.

With their Cap’n and Chief Intelligence Officer having deserted them, River, Ham and Joe valiantly continue their whataboutismistic last stand of the DJT apology tour.

So, you're not triggered by the Pledge, but you are triggered by the ritual?

Seriously? People see someone sitting in a wheelchair and wonder why he's not standing?

Fairfax County, each of my grade schoolers say it every single day. I don't presume my high schooler still does it.

The Pledge is a pledge. Saying it every morning is a ritual.

Yeah. I always found it to be a bit much. Even as a kid.
