Bush league. Don't criticize socialists, that would not

Post by oaktonhokie »

be presidential.

But attack your own party, that is statesmanship. Like John McCain, the bushes are great statesmen.

GOPe, no.

This guy was mute for 8yrs, now this?

Part of me thinks this is just legacy preservation / rebuilding on his part. I hope Trump calls him out.

It’s all about trying to maintain the establishment. This is all about maintaining the status quo. I honestly think the Dems and Republicans don’t care who’s in powere, as long as it’s the establishment. Think about it, if they lose, it just gives them a reason to raise more dirty money. They win, and the American public loses.

He just torched any vestige of respect I have for him. That globalist putz was the compromise VP candidate the establishment forced on Reagan in order to gain their support in the 1980 general election. Reagan and Bush were far from pals during the R primary debates, so it's no surprise that he can't stand Trump. Granted, Trump is no Reagan, but he does represent a threat to the establishment- just like Reagan.

The Bushes and Clintons have been partners with the Intelligence community since the 80s.

I am a believer HW and Bill were involved with the CIA in arms/drug trafficking to fund the Contras.

Both families are part of the Establishment. The Bush family has far deeper roots in international finance, intelligence community, and American politics than the Clintons. Conservatives were suspicious of HW in the 80s and believed him to be a NE elite when he was nominated as VP. W was more accepted by the conservative base but affiliated himself with his Dad's old guard.

This is more theory on my part but if you believe in Carroll Quigley's work, you know that the Rhodes Scholarship has been used by the elite as a recruitment tool (much like the Ivy schools are recruiting grounds for the elite/intelligence agencies). Clinton was able to evade rape allegations while at Oxford. The fact the CIA used Mena airport at the very least to store and repair planes affiliated with drug running during Clinton's tenure as Governor shows that he was complicit and most likely had ties prior to his election as Arkansas Governor.

A lot of tin foil hat stuff in there. The agency recruits everywhere. There is no tie to Rhodes Scholarship. The Ivy League stuff during OSS days was just patterned after British Intelligence using "class" and school to create their good old boy network.

Of course Trump will call him out. He’s a blowhard. Does anyone here want to suggest he’s not?

Which politician isn't? You have a problem with his style, but what difference does it make if the alternatives are lying sacks of shiite with an appealing veneer?

What you say was true. Like W said, both candidates were amongst the few in the country that made each other viable.

But the election is over. The election is no reason to condone his behavior now. People with integrity, like the Bush’s, don’t.

Grinding axes is integral to integrity I see. I know it's over. Maybe someone should tell the Bush's it's over.
