Tiger facing a full PGA field this weekend at Riviera CC. My book has him at +135 in a matchup against Fat Pat Perez.
CFB - can I take Fat Pat (-160)?

You should always risk big money on heavy favorites. Its how you get rich in Vegas sports books. Everyone knows that.ip_law-hokie wrote:Tiger facing a full PGA field this weekend at Riviera CC. My book has him at +135 in a matchup against Fat Pat Perez.

Can I parlay it Ryan Palmer (-125) against Tiger?
Palmer is no fat pat, but tiger didn’t make the cut last week.

This 2 day performance at Valspar brings 20 majors into play. I agree 100%ip_law-hokie wrote:It’s no fluke.nolanvt wrote:Big day for CFB.

Haters are going to be hating, but in the meantime, I can see Tiger winning this tourney (which has a star field) and contending in Augusta. He's hitting been his irons pure, he will not be beat this weekend if he makes some putts.CFB Apologist wrote:This 2 day performance at Valspar brings 20 majors into play. His playing partners will not be used to the crowds following their group.

Re: Big day for CFB Apologist
Don't know if he will win, but you're right about the crowds. 8am tee time Friday and they were 4 deep to watch him. Curious to see the crowd impact on his playing partner today, and if he's scoring and staying on top of the leaderboard, the impact, if any, that has on the field.ip_law-hokie wrote:Haters are going to be hating, but in the meantime, I can see Tiger winning this tourney (which has a star field) and contending in Augusta. Sure have. I'm going back April 9-13 to play it again. Copperhead and the Island course are the hardest. Greens can be an absolute beotch when they are running quick.

For us, yes. For the pro’s it’s not that bad. However, the length at sea level is the problem for them.

Many many times over the years, since about 1980. They're resort courses, although Copperhead (which used to be three nines) is the most well known due to tournament play over the years. They're all challenging if you can't hit it straight, or play in the wind. The South Course (originally Sandpiper) is the easiest. North Course has the newest nine plus nine of the Copperhead's original holes.ip_law-hokie wrote:Anybody played Innisbrook? Looks like a nice tract.

Watch out for the Fox Squirrels. The little bastards are charming, fearless, and will steal food and snacks from your cart.
Re: Big day for CFB Apologist
Highly recommend you drive down to Dunedin, and eat dinner at Bon Appetit (reservations suggested). Suggest sunset and window seating. Thank me later.Mcl3 Hokie wrote:Sure have.
