The people who voted against the recent immigration bill are allowing this to happen every day.

There have been 7.2M+ border encounters (not entry into the US) under the Biden admin. We know that around 2.5M were denied entrance and sent back under Title 42. We don't how many of those encounters were the same person coming back and trying to enter again. Either way, it's still a big number.
In order to handle the remaining volume of people trying to gain entry will require a significant increase in the number of border agents and a re-working of the process to adjudicate their claims. Those are items that were in the Senate bill, that the house rejected. There is a solution, Congress simply needs to agree on it and make it law.

No, the situation isn't the Pubs fault. But, they do have the power to make changes that would significantly help.

And as for the powers, Biden doesn't have all the power to stop it. The House GOP made the argument that Biden could shut down the southern border. That's simply not true. When Trump was POTUS, he tried several times to shut down the southern border to asylum seekers. The courts ruled against him with the exception of the application of it to Muslim-majority asylum seekers.

One of the gating factors in processing all the people crossing the borders is the staffing needed to process the claims. This is coming from the border patrol. They need significantly more bodies to adjudicate the claims. Biden doesn't have the authority to change their budget and hire more people.

If you have some other avenue Biden can take to stop people from trying to get asylum, please tell me what it is.

Biden is considering EOs to do something, but that's tricky for him.
For starters, one of his first acts in office was to overturn a bunch of Trump's immigration orders, and Biden's EOs put some limits on the 212f authority. 212f was Trump's main go to on limiting immigration. Biden won't have the same power, although he won't have the pushback that Trump got. He'll be able to do something, but it will have less effect and he's fixing a problem HE created. There are lots of political messaging points that will pound Biden.

And what you pointed out wrt Biden's 3 years in office - he did nothing - the Pubs will say it over and over.
IMO, their message would have been better if they had passed a bill themselves. As usual, they miss opportunities. (this isn't "playing a game that the left does", it's pointing out how slow the GOP leaders are). It's better to score political points for something you accomplished, instead of just criticizing bad things your opponent did.

But a lot of people will know that Biden didn't do anything until forced to. His border policies will bite him. And he's fixing a problem he created, and only doing so when the public demanded action.
