The rate may have “cooled”. But prices haven’t come down. Not to mention the looming recession.

And how about wood?! A $60 piece I bought the other day... Ugh.
Bingo. Increasing at a lesser rate, but still increasing.
So we are still drowning. We're just not drowning in caustic acid. For now.
7.1% is a really high rate of inflation.
Left, right, all the gov't is to blame on this one.

Inflation readings are lagging indicators, so the trend in recent reports is good news.hokie80 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 4:50 pmBeen to the grocery store lately?HvilleHokie wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 4:27 pmGood news!HokieHam wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 4:02 pmhttps://reason.com/2022/12/13/inflatio ... y-to-fall/Inflation Cools to 7.1 Percent, but Still Has a Long Way To Fall

It’s likely a recession will be needed to reverse wage pressures, largest source of inflation at this point.

On top of all the idiocy by leftists……they’ve now mandated here in CO that all eggs sold in the state must be from free range chickens. So instead of eggs going from about $4 dollars for a pack of 18 before inflation hit to close to five…..they’re now $7…..and they can’t stock enough because of farms scrambling to meet the new mandate.

Re: Inflation Hits 5.4% in June
This is the craziest economy I’ve ever seen. The Fed has been cranking interest rates at an unprecedented rate for 6 months hoping to increase unemployment and bright about recession to cool inflationary pressures.
Another jobs report dropped this week indicating the lowest rate of unemployment since the 1960s. Sooner or later the fed will slow down this economy, but it’s proving tough to put the brakes on.

You should put a chicken coop in your back yard. Gotta have a rackety rooster as well. Suburban free range egg manufacturing!
You could even send monthly packages of free range chicken sh!t to Denver. Care of the Governor’s mansion.
