Kindof a big deal up north
I haven't seen this discussed here yet.
So I put (the dead dog) on her doorstep!

I don’t find Canadian government to fit the definition of a “tyrannical” one. Not my cup of tea. But tyrannical? Nope.

I used to love to travel to CN for business. Beautiful up there. Great people. I can’t believe Trudeau got re-elected. Shows where that country is headed…….

Different country. Different constitutional construct and authority. I don’t plan on living there so I don’t really let what they do bother me. At least they aren’t so “tyrannical” that they arrest and imprison people for using pot.

There are as many examples of tyranny in the US as there are in Canada.HokieHam wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:29 pmThey do arrest pastors though…….hokie80 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:11 pmDifferent country. He wasn’t arrested for being a pastor. He was arrested for defying public health orders. You may not agree with the orders. But the fact he was a pastor is irrelevant. Others were also arrested for be same thing. And this pastor constantly looked for confrontation with authorities.HokieHam wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:29 pmThey do arrest pastors though…….hokie80 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:11 pmDifferent country. We arrest people in the US over curfew violations even if they aren’t doing anything bad. Is that tyrannical?

Halting the gathering for worship is tyrannical. The pastor you reference isn’t the only one.hokie80 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 5:13 pmHe wasn’t arrested for being a pastor. It wasn’t specific to worship gatherings. I know this is hard for some folks, but this was a public heath crisis. Sometimes there are reasons to have to shut down gatherings for public safety that aren’t due to “tyranny.HokieHam wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 6:06 pmHalting the gathering for worship is tyrannical. They’ve continued lockdowns WAY after we knew what we were and are dealing with. Christians are told to not forsake gathering together. We are to obey God, rather than men. It was overzealous persecution, in many cases. It’s tyranny.hokie80 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 6:13 pmIt wasn’t specific to worship gatherings. One can gather virtually. Christians do it all the time if they are home bound. I know that’s what we do.HokieHam wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 6:30 pmThey’ve continued lockdowns WAY after we knew what we were and are dealing with. Frankly my church refused to have a mask required service for those of us that had concerns (or medical conditions) to reduce our risk.
How is that “Christian”?

A supremely stupid yet very comical movie! Nice pull RG.

Depends on how they're executed.
Randomly standing in front of oncoming interstate traffic? Get run over for all I care.
Blocking city intersections and threatening bystanders with violence. Again, get grease spotted.
BLM neo-marxist F'ery isn't comparable to what's going on in Canuckistan.
