I’m sure they will try and outlaw s’mores via campfires as well.

Biden Isn’t Banning Gas Stoves Because of Health, But Global Warming
Public health is a pretext for an agenda that has nothing to do with public health.
January 11, 2023 by Daniel Greenfield
I warned that this was coming at the end of last year.
Los Angeles banned gas stoves in 2023. Seattle and NYC have done it. Now it’s time for the Biden admin to do it nationwide.
“A U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission official said his agency will begin a formal review process that could lead to new regulations.”
“We need to be talking about regulating gas stoves, whether that’s drastically improving emissions or banning gas stoves entirely,” said Commissioner Richard Trumka. “And I think we ought to keep that possibility of a ban in mind, because it’s a powerful tool in our tool belt and it’s a real possibility here.”
Trumka is becoming more blatant about it.
Coercion in the cause of banning fossil fuels is no vice for the Biden Administration, which is now coming after cooks. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) could soon ban gas stoves.
CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. teased in an interview with Bloomberg News this week that the agency plans to propose new regulations for gas stoves, which could include a ban. “This is a hidden hazard,” Mr. Trumka said. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
This is not about health. Health risks are just how the Biden administration envisions making such an abuse appear more palatable to the public.
This is about environmentalism, its mythical global warming, its opposition to fossil fuels and its insistence on making every electric and centrally regulated.
We know that because those were the justifications of the West and East Coast gas bans.
Seattle was clear about it.
New Energy Code Update will Eliminate Use of Fossil Fuels for Space Heating and Most Water Heating in New Commercial and Large Multi-family Construction to Increase Energy Efficiency and On-Site Renewable Energy
And Oakland.
Today, Oakland City Council will consider groundbreaking legislation to improve building safety and reduce Oakland’s greenhouse gas emissions by prohibiting the use of fossil fuel gas in all newly constructed buildings…
Unlike electricity, natural gas burned within homes and buildings cannot be made clean. Natural gas, which is primarily methane, creates greenhouse gas emissions when it is burned, and even more when it leaks throughout the gas distribution system. These leaks have severe climate impacts because methane is a highly potent greenhouse gas, more than 80 times stronger than carbon dioxide in its potential to trap heat in the atmosphere.
And New York City.
“New York City is proof that it’s possible to end the era of fossil fuels, invest in a sustainable future, protect public health, and create good paying jobs in the process,” said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. “If the largest city in America can take this critical step to ban gas use, any city can do the same! Thank you to the City Council for getting this done. This is how to fight back against climate change on the local level and guarantee a green city for generations to come.”
Public health is a pretext for an agenda that has nothing to do with public health.
The Biden administration is trying to do this nationwide under the guise of public safety while blatantly lying about its motives.
The media will never admit that or cover it, but the Democrats themselves set the legal precedent for challenging a policy based on motive when it came to the census citizenship question.
The Biden administration’s policy is being conducted under false pretenses and there’s little doubt that there’s a paper trail behind this focusing on global warming. Uncovering it will make legal challenges much easier.
But beyond that, a simple question remains.
Environmentalists claim that we should trust them and that anyone who doesn’t is a “science denier”. Here they are blatantly lying about the motives behind one of their policies. If they’re lying about their motives for trying to ban gas stoves, what else are they lying about?

Meh...in re to Low Flow Shower heads just pop the restrictor out. Easy Peazy.
I do love LED lights. You can still buy incandescent bulbs, there is a loophole for "safety bulbs".
Low flow toilets eat used kitty litter. The size of the turd is not the issue. The problem is that most of these turd flushers don't have the oomph to flush the solids thru the system to either your septic system or the sewage system.
You can rooter out the pipes or what I do just put some Rid-X down the toilet once a month or so. It's great at dissolving the solids.
You can increase the power of the oomph but it isn't an easy DIY fix.

Never had an issue with the new toilets.Major Kong wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 5:21 pm Meh...in re to Low Flow Shower heads just pop the restrictor out.

Definitely prefer LED lights over anything else. Plus the cost is more affordable than when they were first introduced.

Our problem here is though it's gravity feed it's still quite aways to the sewage transfer point, about a ¼ mile away. We're trying to get the county to install an intermediate transfer point at the ½ way point...I've even gave them a design (yes I'm a Level 4 Wastewater Treatment Operator). I've kept my Wastewater and Waterworks (Level 6) certificates up to date.
One problem we encountered here is the house is 62 years old and my FiL did very little work on it in all that time. When my FiL passed my wife inherited the house. The washing machine and dryer are in the basement and new washer's are unable to lift the wash water more than 4'. We needed 8 feet. So I put in a utility sink and bought a ½HP trash pump. The wash water drains into the sink and the pump is able to pump the water up and out.
Don't even get me started on the wiring...ayup it's mostly 62 years old except for where he put in a heat pump in 2002.
