11 killed, 48 wounded in Memorial Day weekend violence in Chicago
It was the deadliest Memorial Day weekend in Chicago in eight years.
The homicide near the mayor’s Austin neighborhood home was discovered just after midnight Saturday in the 5700 block of West Chicago Avenue. A female, whose age was unknown, was stabbed to death and left in a nearby alley. And Monday evening, a shooting was reported about five blocks from the mayor’s home. A man, 36, was shot near the street around 7 p.m. in the 700 block of North Pine Avenue. He was hospitalized in good condition.

I’m cool with replacing the existing laws with very simple national laws for guns. What good is it to have sensible gun laws if someone can drive to a Walmart or gun show 5 miles away in some other jurisdiction with insane gun laws.

You mistook my meaning, friend.
The Walmart guns are NOT the ones that are doing the killing. Guns on the black market are. It is easier for some to get a 9mm (an illegal one) than a bag of weed. You make my WalMart guns illegal, and you've done nothing to stop the killing. You've made the victims naked. Nothing else.
Start with enforcing existing laws.
Many of these killers have records of having been released by whackadoodle leftist judges (Soros-funded types too) for prior offenses. THERE is a quick and easy fix rather than chasing down someone like me -go after leftwing judges.
Tell me about cities and their "insane un laws". Jurisdictions with strong 2A support tend to be a lot safer than places like Chicago with their insane gun laws and crime-friendly judges.
