My stiches are out and the basal joint is doing very well...

Post by Major Kong »

Long scar from the trapeziometacarpal joint to the base of the wrist (bottom of my right hand).

I've been pain free for about 5 days. I've now got this nifty Christmassy red cast that completely immobilizes my right thumb.

My 4 fingers are free and I can use them all I want but hellsbells not having a right thumb eats used kitty litter. I wear this thing for 6 more weeks and then a removable cast for 4 weeks.

The sawbones says based on what he sees I shouldn't need physical therapy.

I'll probably have the left thumb done in the summer.

The name of the procedure is a Trapeziectomy with LRTI.
I only post using 100% recycled electrons.
