My wife, son, BIL and MIL are heading down to Panama City Beach, FL tonight...they're taking the handi van ('09 Kia Sedona EX).
The reason for the trip? It was the wish of the BIL's longtime GF to have her ashes spread in the Gulf of Mexico at Panama City Beach so that is what they're going to do. It also gives the opportunity for an 8 day vacation.
I agreed to stay home to look after the pets...there is no way in the world I'm driving 620 miles and staying in a condo for 8 days with my BIL & MIL. They don't get along living a mile apart...I'll hang with the dogs and cats.

Too bad a trip to an awesome place woudl get mucked up with relatives. I love my time in PCB - it's a wonderful place, reputation notwithstanding.

but despite the GPS and the google map I printed out for 'em the pilot and navigator (BIL) missed the turnoff to Columbus and ended up in Opelika, AL...nothing like going around your elbow to get to your thumb.
Then she called in a panic...her mom forgot her Rx drugs...so over to USPS tomorrow to mail a next day priority package to Florida.
They're off to rousing start so far.
Meanwhile here at the ranch I spent the day doing absolutely nuthin' and I did it extremely well.
