My wife, MIL, my MIL's sister (aunt) and my son have headed down to Charleston, SC for a visit.

They are visiting the aunt's new grandson.

What should I do :?:

I would love to go up to Laurel Bed Lake or Tumbling Creek unfortunately my left shoulder isn't cooperating. :(

that's just one of many reasons you need to be ambidextrous to be a good fisherman :) I had to learn to cast right handed because the tower on my buddies motor boat gets in the way casting on that side of the boat. It's paid off big time on the kayak too.

I gave my wife detailed written instructions and keyed in her GPS and they still got lost :!:

Somehow they got on I-20 instead of I-26 and ended up in Aiken...geez.

Nah that's just a slight adjustment to the same formula.

I figure I'll just vegetate, take my Mom out to lunch for my Dad's birthday (he's been gone 5yrs) on Wednesday and take the dogs over to the North Fork of the Holston and let 'em play in the river.

Took my Mom out to lunch today. My Dad would have been 82 today...hard to believe he's been gone 5yrs. She gets a little sad around his birthday.

We went to one of the places my Dad & I like to go the El Campestre in Chilhowie (Mexican and pretty good too). Spent an 1½ hrs. reminiscing...I'm glad we went.

Took the dogs over to the farm and let them lose in the Middle Fork of the Holston. :) Burt, the Aussie, played some but Shelly, ½ lab ½ German Shepard, stayed in the water for over an hour.

My wife called and they're going to be gone an extra night...they've gone up to Myrtle Beach today and will stay tonight and Friday night. They'll get a little late summer beach time in. :)

Now is the best time to visit Myrtle. All the summer weather without the summer yo-yos. That was the wife's and I favorite time to go pre-kids.
