Florida is better than us. They have higher standards and aren't ousting a legendary coach.

Are you kidding? Do you think VT could run 400 yards against Georgia right now? Do you think VT is fielding a defense even close to what the Gators put on the field? Muschamp is gone because he couldn't field a decent offense in a state that explodes with offensive talent but believe me, Florida still recruits like a 5 star SEC team and won't be down long. They've made the right decision in canning Muschamp but the road to redemption for the Gators is MUCH shorter than it is for VT.

as it should be, they have a ton of recruiting advantages, but no the last few years have been very down years for them and some bad football. As for the dawgs, who knows with them, they are much like us in play great, play crappy, never know what to expect as they also have a ton of players to choose from and also recruiting advantages over VT. Thus why the fire Mark Richt yells go up every year and luckily for the dawgs nobody listens to the idiots calling for Richt's head every year

Their very bad years were the last three when they played .500 football in the SEC. Again, the Hokies would do well to have equaled that int he last three years.

the sec has mystic, the acc had the MNC last year tho. Yes the top of the sec is very good but the rest of the teams are comparable to any of the other conferences and the sec is down overall this year. As for VT, we are still above .500 after 15 very good years. Sorry, the sec is hyped unmercifully and do have some good teams, the rest of the conferences also have very good teams at the top, just don't get the hype the sec does. And before ya start, yes it is a good conference and the last couple of years VT is struggling to compete in any conference, no duh

I wouldn't introduce who won the MNC as the argument for a strong conference if you are trying to discount the SEC.

I'm struggling to understand your point in all of this. Which program do you think is better positioned, today, for short term success? VT or Florida?

Very wrong. The 9th place SEC team beat the 3rd place Big 10 team at a neutral site. The 7th place SEC team beat the 3rd place Big 12 on the road.

correct, and a top 5 auburn team beat the MS team and then went and got beat by Texas A &M team that had gotten run over the week before..... I think I have that timeline correct, no time to go research the sec season, got to go get into traffic

A middle of the road ACC team beat the best big 10+2 team in the horse shoe.

We're talking about the strength of the SEC. The two teams you mention aren't in the ACC. Try to keep up.
